Mervyn Colina, MD

Mervyn Colina, MD serves as the Medical Director of the St. Mary’s Ambulatory Surgery Center and a Chief of Anesthesia for Anesthesia Concepts.

Dr. Colina received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1989.  He completed a residency at the Medical College of Virginia Riverside Family Practice and became Board-certified in Family Practice in 1992 before entering a residency in Anesthesiology at the Medical College of Virginia.  He completed his residency in 1995 and is Board-certified in Anesthesiology.  Before working with Anesthesia Concepts, Dr. Colina worked with James River Anesthesiology Associates and with Anesthesia Healthcare Partners in eastern and central Virginia.

In 2008 Dr. Colina joined Anesthesia Concepts at Memorial Ambulatory Surgery Center in Mechanicsville, VA, where he served as the anesthesiologist and medical director of the facility.  He is currently practicing at the St. Mary’s Ambulatory Surgery Center, where he is the medical director and chairman of the medical executive committee.
